Custom Design and Jewelry Repair
We are very fortunate to have an in-house manufacturing shop. Our talented craftspeople, combined, have over 175 years of experience. From a basic sketch, our goldsmith can carve a wax model which will go on to be cast in silver, gold, or platinum. At this point, stones will be set, and the final polishing will be done. A final check will be made to make sure the size is accurate and all stones are snug.

We are so proud of our new state-of-the-art laser welder. It is one of only a handful in the entire state. This fantastic machine can so accurately pinpoint the heat that we can now accomplish jobs that were once impossible.

The same care will be taken in repairing your jewelry items. After years of wear, we can make your items look brand new. Size, adjustments, and re-tipping of prongs and head replacements are done in our shop on a daily basis. Pearls can also be restrung.

We recommend you have your jewelry inspected and cleaned at least once a year. There is no charge for this under most circumstances.

Watch Repair
We are happy to provide battery changes for most watches while you wait. The batteries are dated and a one-year warranty for the battery is provided. Also we stock an extensive selection of straps and watchbands. More complicated repairs are handled by a certified master watchmaker with over 20 years experience.

Appraisals
We are fortunate to have four certified gemologist appraisers on staff, all capable of performing appraisals for insurance replacement value or estate evaluation. We also maintain an American Gem Society laboratory which includes: a well-stocked library of gemological manuals, gem testing equipment (binocular microscope, refractometer, polariscope, dichroscope, weight scales, diamond grading light ultraviolet light, at least five AGS master color diamonds, measuring devices, and a Sarin machine). Certified gemologist appraisers have earned the highest title awarded by the American Gem Society. All must pass a hands-on appraisal test and a yearly exam to maintain the title. This means that a certified gemologist appraiser is qualified like no other self-proclaimed expert to understand the value of your jewelry.
